1. What is meal assembly?
Contemporary Cook is a quick, simple and cost effective way to prepare fresh and healthy meals for you and your family. Each month we will prepare all the ingredients for at least 12 tantalizing recipes. You simply schedule a session date & time and place your order. When you arrive at our kitchen, you will move from station to station, creating wonderful entrees using our easy-to-follow recipes. Next, take your entrees home where you can freeze them and prepare them at a later date. Our friendly and knowledgeable staff is always on hand to assist you. Short on time? Place your order and we will assemble your meals for you at no additional cost. All you have to do is drop by our kitchen to pick them up! What could be better?
2. How much does it cost?
Let us save you money! Our meals break down to about $3-4 per serving!
Full Size Meals (serve 4-6 adults):
12 Meals - $209.00 plus tax
8 Meals - $159.00 plus tax
3 Meals - $ 60.00 plus tax
Half Size Meals (serve 2-3 adults):
12 Meals - $119.00 plus tax
6 Meals - $ 60.00 plus tax
3. How do I register?
Simply visit our website and select your session and meal preferences and you will be instructed through the payment process. Or you may call us and we will be happy to take your order over the phone.
4. What payment options are available?
If you register through our website, you will automatically be taken to our secure on-line credit card payment option. You may also come into the store and pay with credit card, check or cash.
5. How can Contemporary Cook save me time?
We take all the stress out of your meals. We do all the work for you! We do the planning, the shopping, the slicing and dicing and most importantly all the clean up! When you are ready to enjoy your entree, simply thaw and follow the basic cooking instructions. Most of our entrees are ready to serve and eat in 30 minutes or less.
6. Are the meals healthy?
At Contemporary Cook we only use fresh, natural ingredients to ensure the highest quality meals for you and your family. We only use natural meats, poultry and seafood. We use the freshest fruits, vegetables and seasonings available. Nutritional information is available upon request for all of our meals.
7. Can I customize my entrees to my liking?
Absolutely! We understand that everyone has different tastes and encourage you to assemble your entree to your liking. Don’t like spicy food? Cut back on the jalapenos. Love cheese? Add an extra scoop. It is completely up to you. Unfortunately, our pre-assembled meals cannot be customized.
8. What do I need to bring with me to the session?
We provide everything you will need to assemble your entrees, including all of the packaging. You will need to bring a cooler to transport your entrees home. What could be easier?
9. Can I split my meals with a friend?
Of course! Only one of you will need to register and submit one order. You can both come to the session and split your entrees accordingly.
10. Once I have scheduled a session date and time, can it be changed?
Sure. Just give us a call and we will happily reschedule you for the next available session.
11. Once my order has been submitted can I make changes?
We will do our best to accommodate any changes you need to make. Give us a call as soon as possible (preferably at least 24 hours in advance) and we will do everything we can to meet your request.
12. Can I bring my child(ren) with me?
Unfortunately, due to health and safety concerns, we cannot allow children under the age of 9 years old and only one child is allowed per adult. Children must be under parental supervision at all times.
13. Do you have gift certificates available?
Yes. Gift certificates can be purchased in any denomination through our website or by stopping by our store.
14. Do all of your entrees freeze well and how long do they last in the freezer?
All of our recipes have been tested to ensure they freeze well and taste great when thawed and cooked. Our meals will last up to 4 months in the freezer.
15. How long will it take to assemble my entrees?
It typically takes 2 hours to assemble 12 entrees. Don’t forget to plan a little extra time to enjoy some refreshments and visit with friends in our social area.
16. What if I need to cancel my order?
Cancellations made 5 days or more prior to your scheduled session time will be given a full refund. You will receive a 50% refund for cancellations less than 5 days and no refund will be given for cancellations the day of your scheduled sessions or for no shows. If something comes up and you have to cancel please call us and we will do our best to accommodate by rescheduling.
17. Can I host a party at Contemporary Cook?
We love a good party! Invite your friends to experience this new concept of convenient cooking. Our spacious social area is perfect for hosting a shower, Girls' Night Out, or other special event. We have plenty of room for you to catch up with friends and have a guilt free night away while still getting your meals made. We will provide hors de'voures and refreshments. Feel free to bring your own bottle of wine. As the hostess of any party with 8 or more guests, you will receive 50% off your entire order.
18. How often are new recipes offered?
We offer 12-14 recipe selections per month and our menu changes monthly.
19. I am somewhat challenged in the kitchen. Can you help?
If you are not a professional chef, or even an amateur one, Contemporary Cook will change your life! We make cooking foolproof. Let us help you have fun while YOU prepare healthy and tasty meals - so tasty that your friends and family won’t believe you made it!
20. What if I don’t have a lot of freezer space?
No problem. You can purchase as few as 3 meals at a time. Use them in the same week and you won’t have to freeze them at all. You can also stop by on your way home and pick up a single freshly prepared meal ready to make!
21. Can I order more than one of the same entree?
Yes, you may order 2 of each entree.
22. Can Contemporary Cook assist my group with fundraising?
